Carol-Lynn Roman is the co-founding Chief Operating Officer of Roman Austin Personal Injury Lawyers. A lifelong resident of Pinellas County, she graduated from Dunedin High School and earned her degree in Mass Communications, with a minor in Political Science, from the University of South Florida. She began her legal career in high school and has since held management positions in Tampa Bay law firms, building nearly three decades of experience in personal injury law that spans litigation support, jury selection, and intake strategy.
As COO, Carol-Lynn leads the firm's operations, marketing, client relations, and strategic growth across its six Tampa Bay offices. Under her operational leadership, Roman Austin has recovered more than $200 million for injured clients and earned a spot on the Inc. 5000 list of America's fastest-growing private companies. She reorganized the firm around a phase-based case management model and built the attorney-led intake process, ensuring each prospective client connects directly with an attorney.
Carol-Lynn is also the architect of the firm's community-first approach to marketing. Instead of billboards or television, Roman Austin invests in the Tampa Bay community through youth sports, local schools, and initiatives like Not Just a Cyclist, which promotes shared responsibility between cyclists and motorists on the road.
A graduate of the Leadership Pinellas program, she has served on the Board of Directors for the Homeless Emergency Project and held leadership roles with the Helen Ellis Memorial Hospital and Morton Plant Mease Hospital foundations. Carol-Lynn has four adult children and resides in Safety Harbor with her husband and their cat.
