Brakes

Perform regular visual inspections and walking tests to ensure your brakes are functioning normally. If you spot any surface corrosion on your brake discs, clean it off before hitting the road again. It’s also a good idea to change the brake fluid and pads if necessary.

Fuel

If you haven’t started up your motorcycle recently, there is a possibility that the fuel injectors have clogged. At a minimum, make sure to put fresh fuel in the bike and add new fuel filters for better longevity.

Tires

Tires are one of the most important components of any vehicle. Check the motorcycle’s tire pressure and ensure it meets the manufacturer’s standards. Change the tires if you witness any cracks on the sidewalls.

Oil

Check your bike’s oil levels before heading out on the road, and change or fill the oil if necessary. If the bike has been out of operation for a while, make sure no moisture got into the oil system.

Lighting and Electrics

Ensure that your front and rear lights are functioning properly. Keep the lights on for a few minutes to ensure they do not burn out, and replace any faulty bulbs if needed.
